Can we cut a lintel beam . I would like to lift the height of the main door , for which I need to cut the RCC lintel beam which is load bearing ,this beam is cast along the ground floor walls and above this brick work walls upto required height and roof slab is cast over this . Will this affect the strength of the building , kindly advice .
